10 Things You Love About Your City
10 things I love about Ashland

1) I'm from the Rogue Valley & it feels like home.
2) The seasons!
3) The culture of a bigger city, with a small town feel.
4) It's artsy! Music, theater, writers, you name it!
5) The beautiful park, complete with Japanese garden & duck ponds.
6) The plaza & all the unique stores.
7) Great restaurants with good food & creekside seating.
8) Its location is great - it's not far to Reno, Portland, San Francisco, etc.
9) Summer nights.
10) The hills and all the beautiful houses.

Even though my closest family is roughly 4 1/2 hours away, I plan to stay here for at least the next 9 years until Tyson graduates, then we'll see...there sure is a whole lot more I'd like to see of the world, but if I could have a home here & travel everywhere else, that might not be so bad...we'll just have to see what happens!

Waaaah, you're making me homesick! One thing I like about Ashland is that you live there, so I get to come visit and get a dose of "home" once in a while.
You didn't mention Shakespear in the Park...have you checked it out yet? I should give you Shelley's # and have her give you the info. She used to really be into that stuff and I think you'd love it!
I NEED SOME CULTURE!

P.S. Hey, today's Monday! What are you doing posting your 10 on Tuesday on Monday? Cheater! Trying to get ahead of the rest of us! Nah, you're just a rebel! ;0)

You have Phoenix right there! I know there's culture to be found there...I haven't done Shakespeare since I was in school because Tyson doesn't really like it & I don't like to go by myself (plus it's pretty spendy)! Once I get me a sugar daddy, though...

For once, I wasn't trying to be a rebel - I just saw it & did it.

Shakespear in the park doesn't cost anything if I remember correctly. I'm not talking the Shakespearian festival! That would be very pricey! But they do productions right there in the park during the summer. Darnit, I just talked to Shelley yesterday and forgot to ask her about it!
Yeah, Pheonix is only 2 hours away, but we hardly ever get down there to just enjoy time there. We usually have an agenda, but still squeeze in the Science Museum (they just added Sesame Street to it, but I think that's a traveling part that won't be there long...glad we got to see it though, Miranda LOVED it!).
Someday we'll get down there for more stuff though...really! Hey, Adam got to go to Tony Hawk's BoomBoom Huckjam down there, and we saw Disney on Ice down there a few years back. Yeah, I guess there's stuff to do there...lol. Just need to get down there more often!

Woo-hoo! My audience grows...the word is spreading! That's why I started this blog, Mom - I enjoyed reading Kathy's blog because it kept me in the loop of her day-to-day life. So when are you going to do one?

In answer to your question, I don't know.... never was too good at that sort of stuff, although I encouraged all of you to do it. I know that it is important, so will try when I am able:->
