It's like a heat wave!!!

I can't believe how hot it's been here - Good news is, I'm getting a great start on my summer tan! We had a baseball game tonight & would've won, but at the top of the last inning, we had bases loaded & only one out, but with four runs, so they called the four run rule, which allowed us to be tied, but gave the other team an opportunity to continue scoring during the bottom half. Tyson pitched & he had two outs, bases loaded & a full count & struck the batter out, for a final score of 9-9. We're calling it a win, no matter what they say! I did get asked to lunch by one of the dads on Tyson's baseball team. Of course I said that would be nice, & the guy is a nice enough guy, but there is just no attraction there. He's at least in his fifties. Oh well, I suppose it can't hurt to have lunch with a member of the opposite sex. Maybe it'll be good practice.

For Mother's Day, I went to pick up Tyson from his Aunt Traci's place & he had made me a card (a really nice one, as a matter of fact!) that said "Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I'm glad you're my mom. Have a wicked nice Mother's Day!" (In case you didn't recognize it, the last line is from a card that Adam Sandler's character wrote in Mr. Deeds. Then we went to Dutch Bros. to get my free Mother's Day coffee & went to see Akeelah & the Bee. (Good flick) Anywa, I'm gonna go read my book before bed after I watch the news. It just flashed on something upcoming about dating & flashed an interview with a girl that used to work with me, so I have to check it out! Good night!

That would have really pissed me off, about the four run rule. That rule was put in place to keep teams from getting way ahead. It should not apply when the team is making a comeback, especially when it's their last chance to score. They should have at least let you guys get a one run lead. Then that third strike that Tyson threw would have been that much sweeter.

Your hot date sounds cool. Just watch out if you see him popping a little blue pill at the end of the meal. LOL

OMG! ROFLMAO @ Mike's comment about the blue pill. I'm seriously LOL!!! He's got a good point there Amanda, but actually that may not be such a bad thing...lmao. You'll definitely have to fill me in on this one afterwards. Um, also btw...just wanted to point out that nutjobs or not, you've had waaaay more guys hitting on you since your divorce than I did after mine! I should have gotten advice from you back then. I mean, considering going to a gay bar with friends so that guys might come in and want to attempt to "make me straight" just to get a date is more than a little pathetic (oh well, we decided against it anyway...would have been too depressing if no guys took the bait, lol). Everything worked out in the end and I guess that's what matters, right? Just like I know it's going to for you. You'll definitely get a dream guy this time around because you certainly deserve one.
That 4 run rule does sound quite mixed up. What if they'd scored just one run in the last inning? Wouldn't that have made them the winners, even though your team really won?! HUH? Bizarre!!
Funny that you guys went to see a movie for MD too! I considered going to that one for a second, but couldn't remember what it was about and didn't want to take a chance while having Miranda with us, so settled on Ice Age the Meltdown for the animation factor. ;0)

P.S. It's been unbearably hot here lately too. I haven't been working on a tan though (unless you count tanning bronzing cream that I've been trying out) 'cuz the sun has started irritating the skin on my face. It's bizarre 'cuz I've always been a sun-monger, but now I'm avoiding it like the plague (which it kinda seems to be for me now, lol). Hmmm...Arizona probably isn't the best place for that, huh?
